Practique la siguiente conversación:
Student 1: If the rope were stronger, we could climb the steepest glacier face.
Student 2: That’s true. And if the camp were closer to the peak, our climbs would be easier.
Student 1: Exactly. If the tent were larger, we’d fit all the equipment comfortably.
Student 2: What if the crevice in the rock were wider?
Student 1: We could use it for a foothold.
Student 2: If the altimeter were more precise, we’d measure our altitude better.
Student 1: True. But if the weather worsened, we’d struggle to continue.
Student 2: Yes, and if the glacier had fewer crevasses, the route would be safer.
Student 1: If the climber had a clearer view of the peak, the planning would be easier.
Student 2: Absolutely. Those ideal conditions would change our whole experience.
Estudiante 1: Si la cuerda fuera más fuerte, podríamos escalar la cara más empinada del glaciar.
Estudiante 2: Es cierto. Y si el campamento estuviera más cerca de la cima, nuestras escaladas serían más fáciles.
Estudiante 1: Exactamente. Si la tienda fuera más grande, cabría todo el equipo cómodamente.
Estudiante 2: ¿Y si la grieta en la roca fuera más ancha?
Estudiante 1: Podríamos usarla como punto de apoyo.
Estudiante 2: Si el altímetro fuera más preciso, mediríamos mejor nuestra altitud.
Estudiante 1: Cierto. Pero si el clima empeorara, nos costaría continuar.
Estudiante 2: Sí, y si el glaciar tuviera menos grietas, la ruta sería más segura.
Estudiante 1: Si el escalador tuviera una vista más clara de la cima, la planificación sería más fácil.
Estudiante 2: Absolutamente. Esas condiciones ideales cambiarían toda nuestra experiencia.
